The ML1 (25/.08) is the first and often the main shaping file for the Medium/Large Canal sequence. It is designed for naturally larger canals where less curvature is present, such as maxillary anteriors, palatal roots of maxillary molars, and distal roots of mandibular molars. Its .08 taper allows for rapid, efficient shaping, establishing the primary canal form in just one or two passes.
